Ripe Pu'er Boxed Tea

An excellent breakfast tea, Pu’er was once traded for Tibetan horses during the Tang Dynasty lineage.  As a valuable commodity along trade routes, Pu’er was found to have unique taste & health qualities as it continued to ferment on the voyage.   Local people living near coastal regions noticed that it was especially helpful aiding in digestion.  The Pu’er tea species is unique in that the older trees tend to produce a better grade tea leaf for consumption.  Some trees are over 1700 years old, and  reside on protected sacred lands in Yunnan Province China.
